Communication is part of athlete safety

Helping protect athletes.
Supporting coaches.

Team communication carries responsibility. Athletes need boundaries around contact with adults. Coaches need a clear, accountable way to lead. Parents need a meaningful place in the conversation.

The Wrestling Manager is built to support all three. Family permissions, parent mirroring and assigned review of covered conversations help teams put responsible communication into everyday practice.

FOR ATHLETES

Support with boundaries.

Guardian permissions and adult visibility support oversight of covered communications. Athlete information is shared through authorized relationships, so being on a team does not automatically give everyone access to a child’s private records.

FOR COACHES

Lead with transparency.

Keep team updates and covered conversations in a shared team workspace. Appropriate adult visibility provides context and supports accountability, helping coaches communicate clearly and reducing avoidable misunderstandings with families.

FOR PARENTS

A real place in the conversation.

Separate choices for profile sharing, messaging and health permissions help parents decide how their athlete participates. Parent mirroring and authorized review keep covered communications available to the adults responsible for the athlete.

The right update, in the right place.

Use team conversations for coordination and Whistle announcements for important team updates. Schedules and shared information give athletes, coaches and families a clearer view of what is happening throughout the season.

Review follows responsibility.

An eligible adult reviewer must be assigned and accept that role before viewing covered conversations. Quiet review and guardian alert preferences help manage routine notifications; they do not replace active adult supervision or open unrelated conversations.

Private information stays scoped.

Weight history uses authorized athlete, family and staff access. Private trainer concerns have separate care permissions. A coaching, reviewer or organization role alone does not unlock private clinical notes.

SafeSport education & responsible communication

Make open, transparent communication a team habit.

The U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) require covered adult-to-minor electronic communications to include an appropriate additional adult, subject to applicable exceptions. Teams should follow their governing organization’s policy and ensure the required adult is included.

Our family permissions and adult-review tools are designed to support responsible communication practices. Quiet review alone does not establish MAAPP compliance. The Wrestling Manager is not certified, approved or endorsed by the U.S. Center for SafeSport; technology does not replace training, supervision or reporting responsibilities.

Available controls depend on the installed build, role, linked guardian relationships and accepted reviewer assignments. Reviewer tools remain under beta testing. Read our privacy information.
